All Sides Weekend: Death Cafés

Considering and discussing death can seem depressing or morbid. At so-called Death Cafés, people gather together, have some tea and cookies, and discuss, what else, death.

The first Death Café to take place in the United States happened here in Columbus, and eight years later it’s still going strong. The gatherings are meant to encourage people to consider their own mortality, and hopefully make the most of their lives in the process.

This weekend, an organizer who has held death cafés all over the world is hosting one at the Wexner Center For The Arts on Sunday, February 23 at 1 p.m.

On All Sides Weekend, guest host Clare Roth will take a look at death awareness and how accepting and considering our mortality could be good for us.
