The Summer and Winter Olympic games have always played a significant role in shaping modern history and global relations since it's reinvention in Athens 1896. The games have consistently highlighted domestic and international conflicts, altering notions about social issues for over a century. Also, as we look forward to the games in Rio there are many serious problems potentially facing the athletes, locals and visitors.
