On this week's episode:

Impeachment Vote

Ohio’s 16 U.S. House representatives took their votes Wednesday night on the impeachment of President Trump. The four Democrats voted yes and the 12 Republicans voted no. No surprise there.

The votes likely will not hurt any members of the Ohio delegation—that's the benefit of gerrymandering.

DeWine's 2019

Gov. Mike DeWine’s first year in office was a pretty calm political year at the Statehouse, with just a few exceptions.

It began with tax-reluctant Republicans passing an increase in the gasoline tax, to fund road construction projects. The state budget included a tax cut and increases in social program spending.

Lawmakers bailed out the nuclear power industry and gutted renewable energy mandates. The state moved farther to the right on abortion and, despite chants of "Do Something" after the Dayton mass shooting, did nothing on guns.
