Gerrymandering 

Ohio voters approved a measure to redraw the state's congressional district map in 2021, after the next census, but the Ohio ACLU and the Ohio League of Women Voters are suing to start the process before the 2020 presidential election.

According to voting rights groups, the current district borders favor Republican and are unconstitutional. Republicans have a slight majority in overall voter registrations in Ohio, but they control three-quarters of the congressional districts.

Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson successfully convinced voters that a wage-tax hike was needed for city services. Meanwhile, he was also was secretly courting Amazon's second headquarters by offering a 50 percent wage tax credit over 15 years.
