We’d like to congratulate the following Emmy Award winners from WOSU!

This year’s Emmy Awards competition for TV programming was decided over the weekend in Louisville. WOSU was proud to have seven nominations for the 2011 Emmy Awards and we won three Emmys Saturday night.

Congratulations to everyone involved in these programs and also to those nominated this year. We consistently produce some of the best local programming in the country.

Education/Schools – Program
O-H-I-O Episode #107, WOSU
O-H-I-O is produced by WOSU Public Media for The Ohio State University to air on the Big Ten Network. It features non-sports-related Ohio State University campus programming.

Documentary – Historical
Columbus Neighborhoods – Short North & German Village, WOSU
Columbus Neighborhoods—Short North and German Village—tells the story of two vibrant areas of central Ohio, culturally and historically.

Program Host/Moderator/Narrator

Mike Thompson is WOSU TV’s primary news host and moderator. He hosts a weekly political round-table program, Columbus on the Record and moderates debates and other forums.
