As you may have read, The Big Give from the Columbus Foundation leveraged more than $8.7 million for area nonprofits—a truly extraordinary day of giving in central Ohio. The Foundation announced today that WOSU Public Media raised an estimated $50,398.87 and will receive $6,541.65 in matching dollars and $1,182.48 in credit card fee reimbursements, totaling $58,123.00 from The Big Give!  We thank everyone in the community for participating in The Big Give and for your support of WOSU and the 600 other nonprofits that do outstanding work in this community.

The Columbus Foundation debuted this new philanthropic event for 24-hours starting at 11 am on November 10th, with a record $1 million in Foundation matching funds to be distributed to local nonprofit organizations.

Anyone could participate by making a minimum $20 donation online with a credit card directly to the nonprofit of their choice, and all participants will receive a pro-rated match.

If you missed the Big Give, of course, you can always contribute your tax deductible contribution to WOSU by writing us a check or donating online at www.wosu.org

We live in Mt. Vernon +40 miles out of Columbus. What are our options for getting local/Columbus stations like WOSU, NBC/ABC/CBS news, etc?
