In the Know winning high school team: St. Charles Prep.

Looking across central Ohio from the top floor of the AEP headquarters brings at least one word to mind – stunning.  With high school students, that means many smart phone posts on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.  But the view wasn’t the only thing superb about the evening.  It was great fun to spend it with some of the most brilliant young minds in central Ohio.

In the Know, in it’s unprecedented 31st year on WOSU TV, crowned St. Charles Preparatory School as the 2014 champion and Dublin Scioto as the worthy runner up. Ohio State provided 11 scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each for the students.  And longtime host Bill Schiffman cracked up the students with some barbs about the a few of the competitors.  In some cases, the students had been on their high school ITK team all four years of their school tenure!

Our congratulations to all the students from 36 teams who participated across central Ohio as part of In The Know and to our corporate sponsor, AEP, for their on-going generosity and support of educational initiatives throughout our community.
