In anticipation of the latest Columbus Neighborhoods documentary, New Americans, we’re releasing a set of short stories that tell the stories of the immigrant community in and around Columbus, Ohio.

First a look at New American food, and how the food scene in Columbus has been morphed by immigrants.

Also, a look at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

And finally, a look at a citizenship ceremony in Columbus, Ohio.

WOSU reporter Sam Hendren has been working on a series of “New American Voices” and on a weekly basis, is rolling out new stories of remarkable immigrants in our community. You can see his whole series here.

The list of remarkable immigrants in our community is long and impressive, here is just a small sample of some of the great New Americans in our community.
