Columbus officially turns 200 on Feb. 14 !  There are over a dozen FREE events taking place, in addition to 200Columbus Days, which offers discounts at Columbus attractions and entertainment, Feb. 11-15. For more information, go to

WOSU is offering up a number of free opportunities to enjoy on February 14th – the official birthday:

– Join All Sides with Ann Fisher for a special live radio broadcast on location at WOSU@COSI.  Be a part of the studio audience next Tuesday from 10am to Noon (doors open at 9:30 at COSI).  In the first hour we will discuss current challenges facing Columbus’s historic urban neighborhood Franklinton, with the second hour celebrating Columbus’s Bicentennial with Mayor Michael Coleman and a panel.  Watch All Sides at WOSU@COSI on Tuesday, February 14th from 10am to Noon.

– Join WOSU at the Ohio Theatre at Noon on the 14th for a special community premiere of Columbus Neighborhoods documentary focused on Franklinton and Downtown Columbus.  Stop in early at 11:30 a.m. to enjoy the Mighty Morgan Organ and a lightshow before the premiere.

– Join us from 7-9:30 pm for a first look at the Columbus Historical Society’s new home at COSI, and the opening of our newest interactive exhibit showcasing Columbus’ unique past.  At 8pm, guests are invited to view the television premiere of WOSU’s neighborhoods documentary on COSI’s Extreme screen. -Our Columbus Neighborhoods marathon is February 19th — spend that Sunday from 3 pm to 8 pm enjoying all five of our documentaries focused on the history and culture of our historic neighborhoods.
