City of Columbus shuts down west side after-hours club after police called around 170 times

The Columbus attorney's office and police shut down an illegal after-hours club on the city's west side.

Police were called to Sabor Latino in the Greater Western Shopping Center around 170 times in the last two years for fights, thefts and reports of assault, rapes, drug use and gunshots.

Court documents say the club, located at 3415 South Boulevard, was often bursting with hundreds of people after hours. The Columbus Division of Fire forcibly closed the club for overcrowding in late November, according to court documents. The club reopened on Dec. 8.

The club's growth through 2024 also reportedly coincided with an increase in calls for police services.

Court documents say the club did not have a liquor permit, but it had a full bar, and a history of property code violations.

Police have a warrant to board up the premises.
