Ohio Wesleyan University leaders said a student at the Delaware school is presumed to have drowned along with his father during a spring break vacation.

The school's social media accounts say there is strong evidence that sophomore Charley Morris, 20, died along with his father Charles on March 16 while kayaking on Beaver Lake, Arkansas.

“He will be remembered for his love for his family and the outdoors, his talent as a runner in cross country and track, his service as a Bishop Scholar tutor in local elementary schools, his dedication to his classwork, and his participation with OWU’s chamber orchestra,” Ohio Wesleyan President Rock Jones wrote.

Authorities in Arkansas say they have found two kayaks and a jacket, but adverse weather has hindered a further search.

Jones said the university will hold a memorial service on campus in April.

Ohio Wesleyan was on spring break last week when the accident happened.

Ohio State student Henry Meacock also died during the school's spring break last week. Details and the location of his death have not been released.
