An investigation continues at the Licking County Jail after five inmates and two corrections officers were taken to a hospital after possible exposure to the painkiller fentanyl over the weekend.
A statement from the sheriff's office said two of the inmates had a severe reaction.
"All other inmates from that module have been isolated and decontamination of the module is under way. Licking County Sheriff’s Detectives and Drug Task Force Agents are investigating the origins of the suspected fentanyl," the statement said.
As of Sunday afternoon all of those exposed well and were expected to be released soon.
