The Ohio State Fair will return this year from July 27 to August 7 and is expected to welcome back all public visitors for the first time since 2019.
In 2020 the fair was canceled entirely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, state officials limited fair activities to those involved with agricultural and educational competitions.
State officials say with vaccinations now available and lower infection rates, it is highly unlikely that any particular restrictions will be in effect.
In 2019, nearly 935,000 people attended the state fair during its 12-day run. The event contributes nearly $75 million to the state economy.
