The Central Ohio Transit Authority reopens its service center to customers Monday, and the transit system has changes on the horizon.

COTA made a number of adjustments when the pandemic began, including closing its customer experience center was one of them and suspending fares.

Now, COTA is once again requiring riders pay, effective January 11. As of Monday, customers can buy new passes or have their expired passes replaced at no charge.

Fares will stay the same as before the pandemic, at $62 for a monthly pass or $2 for a one-day fare. Those rates haven't changed in eight years.

COTA will still be requiring masks for all customers and limiting vehicles to 20 customers.
