The Ohio State football team is back in the top 10 of the Associated Press poll despite not playing a single game.
The Buckeyes are No. 6 in the latest AP poll. Ohio State was ranked second in preseason polls but dropped out of the Top 25 completely for the several weeks that the Big Ten didn't plan to have a fall football season.
The Big Ten, Pac-12, Mountain West and Mid-American Conferences have reversed course and decided to play fall football after initially postponing because of COVID-19 concerns. None will play until late October at the earliest, but the AP decided all FBS teams planning to play in the fall would be eligible for inclusion in the Top 25.
Most voters put the most highly regarded teams from those late-arriving conferences back into their rankings, but not all did.
Ohio State is slated to start the shorten nine-game season against Nebraska on October 24 at Ohio Stadium. The Big Ten has accouned no fans will be permitted to attend any games this season.
