Columbus Public Health says there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 in a person who showed symptoms last Thursday, May 27, but still attended protests in downtown Columbus.
The department is urging anyone who attended the protests that day to monitor for symptoms and get a free test if they develop. The health department is advising people to call 614-645-1519 to obtain a list of testing locations.
In a tweet Wednesday, the health department also advised protesters to wear face coverings.
For a testing location near you, call 614-645-1519. And if you must gather to protest peacefully, keep yourselves and others healthy and safe by wearing a face covering, avoiding large crowds – and staying home if you’re sick.
