WBNS-10TV has fired meteorologist Mike Davis following his arrest on charges of child pornography. The station announced his firing in a Twitter statement Friday afternoon.
"It has been a difficult few days and our team has been shocked by this news," the statement reads. "We have decided to end our relationship with Mike Davis due to a violation of certain terms of his employment with WBNS."
Davis was arraigned in Franklin County Municipal Court on Friday morning. His bond was set at $50,000 and he was forbidden from unsupervised contact with minors and from use of the Internet, including on his phone.

Authorities say Davis possessed a "significant" number of images depicting children, and are investigating the case through the Franklin County Sheriff’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Davis is charged with "pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor," a second-degree felony that carries a maximum eight years in prison and a $15,000 fine.
