German Village Post Office Closed After Ceiling Collapse

The Postal Service says the building was closed to protect customers and employees.

The post office in German Village has been temporarily closed after the ceiling collapsed.

“In accordance with OSHA and USPS regulations and to safeguard the health and safety of customers and employees, the Postal Service is suspending operations at the German Village Post Office, 500 E. Whittier Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43206 immediately,” said an email statement from the Postal Service.

Operations have been moved to the South Columbus post office at 455 East Innis Avenue.

Hours at the South Columbus location are Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
