Columbus police say a man confessed to killing two people after officer found their bodies inside a van in the Hilltop neighborhood on Sunday.
Police say “information was received” indicating there were two bodies inside a 2005 White Dodge Caravan parked on South Harris Avenue.
Police say officers detained John Jordan, Jr., 54, after finding him near the van. Officers transported Jordan to police headquarters, where police say he eventually confessed to the killings.
Police said they were not immediately able to identify the two people killed. They hoped to so after autopsies scheduled for Monday.
The deaths are considered Columbus’ 90th and 91st homicides of 2018.
