The late summer heat is forcing Columbus City Schools to let kids out early again on Wednesday.
With temperatures topping 90 degrees this week, Columbus will dismiss classes 2.5 hours early, just as it did on Tuesday. Many buildings lack air conditioning, so conditions inside can quickly become unbearable.

Middle and high schools will dismiss students at noon, and elementary students will get out at 1 p.m. Just like on Tuesday, students will be served lunch before they're dismissed.
After-school activities and sports were canceled on Tuesday.
Cleveland also saw a wave of school closings, with 18 Cleveland Metropolitan schools canceling classes on Tuesday due to temperatures.
