Win games, sell tickets - it's easier said than done. But a record-winning season for the Columbus Blue Jackets has led to record ticket sales.
The Columbus Blue Jackets won 50 games last season, the best in their 17-year NHL franchise history. According to Cameron Scholvin, Chief Revenue Officer for the Blue Jackets, success has increased fan excitement and boosted ticket sales.
“We’ve had the highest renewal rate in the history of the team," Scholvin says. "So we’re 96 percent renewed year to date, which is fantastic.”
Scholvin says over 10,000 season tickets have been sold so far for next year, a jump by more than 1,000.
