Bond Denied For Accused Killer Of Reagan Tokes

Grove City Police

The convicted sex offender accused of raping and killing an Ohio State University student last week will remain in jail, at least for the foreseeable future.

A Franklin County judge on Monday denied bond for Brian Golsby, who's accused of abducting Reagan Tokes as she was walking to her car following a shift at a Short North bar.

A criminal complaint says Golsby, 29, forced Tokes to withdraw $60 from a bank account, then had her drive to Scioto Grove Metro Park in Grove City, where police say he fatally shot her and fled in her car.

Police later discovered the car, which police say contained a cigarette butt with Golsby's DNA.

Prosecutors added a rape charge over the weekend.

Golsby pleaded guilty in 2011 to Franklin County robbery and attempted rape charges. He was released from prison last year.

Tokes grew up outside Toledo and was a fourth-year psychology major at Ohio State.

OSU President Michael Drake released a statement expressing gratitude to Grove City Police and the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation for their swift efforts.
