TSA Pre-Screening Pass Available At Columbus Airport

Port Columbus International Airport

Airline passengers wanting to cut their wait time in security lines can now pay for easier access at John Glenn Columbus International Airport. An enrollment center will be open for a brief time.

The Transportation Security Administration’s Pre-Check screening program will offer travelers a chance to enroll for the pass at an airport application center.

After paying $85 and undergoing a background check, passengers will not be required to remove their shoes, laptops, liquids, belts or light jackets when going through the security checkpoint. Instead, they can enter through a designated TSA Pre-Check lane. The membership lasts for five years.

The airport’s enrollment center will be open until November 18.  There are two permanent TSA enrollment centers in the Columbus area: one on East Dublin Granville Road and the other on Stoneridge in Gahanna.
