Columbus Police say they're investigating after an Ohio State University assistant football coach hit a bicyclist.
Columbus police say the Buckeyes' co-defensive coordinator Greg Schiano hit the 26-year-old bicyclist with his car Thursday morning near the university's campus.
Officials say the student, whose name was not immediately available, was hospitalized in stable condition with a head injury. He's expected to survive.
Police say Schiano had been turning when he hit the bicyclist. Schiano wasn't hurt.
Schiano is in his first year of coaching at Ohio State, after leading Tampa Bay and Rutgers.
