Under the Governor's plan primary care givers who keep patients well and costs down.

Gov. Kasich today announced a plan to reward primary care providers who keep patients well and hold down the cost of health care.

In a press release today, the governor said in January the state will begin to reward providers who keep medical care costs low and help Ohioans live healthier lives while saving money.

The governor says the program will allow the state's four largest private health insurance plans along with Medicare and Medicaid to pay for value rather than volume to improve health care in Ohio.

Governor Kasich says the state is taking a step forward in creating a national model for primary care.
