All lanes of Interstate 70 have reopened after police closed all westbound lanes east of downtown Columbus to investigate an overnight shooting.
Police say two vehicles traveling on I-70 west were involved in an exchange of gunfire around 2:30 am near the James Road exit. Responding officers say they found one vehicle disabled on the side of the road with both people inside suffering gunshot wounds.
Police say Perry Tuttle, Jr., 26, died a short time later at Grant Medical Center.
Police say the other man shot was treated and released.
Police say the altercation is thought to have started in a nearby establishment and carried over onto the freeway.
