John Raphael is set to be sentenced in U.S. District Court, Wednesday, for his role in a Columbus red light camera scandal.

Disgraced Columbus lobbyist John Raphael was sentenced Wednesday afternoon to 15 months in prison  in U.S. District Court. Raphael pleaded guilty last year to extortion in the Reflex bribery scandal.

He has also been ordered to pay a 5-thousand dollar fine.

Raphael's attorney, Michael Miller argued for a lighter sentence since Raphael was not charged with bribery like others defendants in the Redflex camera scandal.

Prosecutors wanted Raphael to spend 3 years in jail for his role trading campaign contributions for city officials for influence and vendor contracts.
