Suspect Frees Himself, Escapes FBI Custody In Cincinnati

Cincinnati Police Dept.

Police say a man arrested on federal charges escaped FBI custody in Cincinnati and is on the run.

Police officials say Mekahale Lamb was being transported by several officers in an unmarked car just before noon Thursday when he freed himself from his handcuffs and took off running.

Lamb had been taken into custody on a sealed federal warrant. He has been imprisoned in the past for trafficking in heroin, cocaine and possessing firearms.

City police continue to search for him.

Authorities say Lamb is dangerous and shouldn't be approached.
