A prosecutor says a Columbus mother faces up to 11 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the heroin-related death of her 14-month-old daughter.
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien says 32-year-old Erica Maria Barley entered the plea Thursday in Columbus. She was charged after her daughter, Annabella Sagstetter, died last May 27 from ingesting fentanyl-laced heroin at what authorities say was a drug house in Columbus.
She'll be sentenced July 28.
State health officials say fentanyl-laced heroin is partly responsible for a record number of overdose deaths last year.
