Tuition and mandatory fees for Ohio State University’s in-state undergraduate and graduate students will be frozen for the fifth consecutive year. The university’s board of trustees made that decision April 8. In addition, housing costs will remain unchanged for a second year.
Ohio State has frozen in-state tuition and mandatory fees since the 2012-13 academic year at just over $10,000 per year. As a result, the classes of 2016 and 2017 will complete their education without a tuition increase.
Out-of-state student tuition will increase 3.2 percent this fall to $28,200 for the academic year. International students will pay around $30,000.
The university says Ohio State remains among the least expensive schools in the Big Ten.
