Wikipedia Commons

Authorities are working to identify a man whose body was found in the Scioto River Tuesday afternoon.

Columbus Police Sgt. David Sicilian says authorities found the body half-submerged in the Scioto near the intersection of I-71 and Greenlawn Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

The body is described as that of a man in his 20s.

Sicilian says investigators hope to identify the man and find out the cause of death after autopsy results come in.

Police say they're treating the death as suspicious but can't tell if there are any wounds on the body.
