A former Ohio lawmaker has been released from prison after serving three years for election falsification and other charges.
The state prisons department confirmed former Rep. Clayton Luckie's release Monday.
Under a plea deal, Luckie was sentenced in January 2013 to a three-year prison term after pleading guilty to election falsification, grand theft and other charges. State and federal investigators found he skimmed nearly $130,000 in campaign funds for personal use and failed to list campaign expenditures for six years.
Luckie, of Dayton, has attributed the crimes to "errors in judgment."
He had sought an earlier release from prison.
