A corporal in the Franklin County Sheriff’s office is recovering after being hit by a car fleeing a traffic stop on Sunday.
A report says Lamonte Fowler, 24,drove off during a traffic stop, did a U-turn, and hit Cpl. Frank Rhodes.
A deputy reportedly fired one shot at the fleeing car.
Fowler was arrested charged with felonious assault. Rhodes suffered minor injuries.
