Ohio State University is realeasing more details about a former employee’s vandalism of art work and subsequent suicide inside a gallery at the Wexner Center for the Arts.

Dean Sturgis shot himself in the head at the Wexner Center for the Arts last November.

Campus police released a preliminary report Thursday at the request of the Franklin County Coroner's Office. It says the 63-year-old Sturgis damaged more than 30 pieces of art by shooting or using black spray paint on them just after the museum opened.

The names of the damaged artworks and security procedural details were redacted. The report says security guards had experienced radio issues, which the university says it's trying to address.

A final report is expected later.
