Ohio Gas Prices Continue Descent

The latest dip in gas prices means Ohioans are paying about 40 cents less per gallon than just a month ago.

The state average reported in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. was about $1.50 compared with around $1.90 a month ago.

Ohio gas prices have fallen about 14 cents in the last week.

The state's average price remained below the national average of $1.74 reported Monday.

The survey reports that the average price in Ohio a year ago was about $2.25, compared with a national average of around $2.18.

Gas prices have continued to remain relatively low as a result of the reduced seasonal demand and falling crude oil costs.
