One Person Shot By Police, Two Others Arrested After Armed Robbery

Police say two armed and masked men entered this O'Reilly Auto Parts store on Parsons Avenue, demanded money, and fled through a back door.

Columbus Police say a robbery suspect was shot by officers on the southeast side late Thursday.

Police say Clifton Satterwhite was among the armed and masked suspects who entered an O'Reilly Auto Parts store on Parsons Avenue around 8 pm Thursday and demanded money.

Police say SWAT team members responded because they were nearby conducting a robbery stakeout.

Police say Satterwhite was shot when he appeared to reach for his waistband while running from officers.

Two other suspects, Ramone Wright, 33, and Vandyke Chao Nu, 24, were arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery. 

Police say the men are suspected in approximately a dozen robberies in the Columbus area dating back to early December.  

The suspects have been identified as:

  • Ramone Wright M/B/33
  • Clifton Satterwhite M/B/37
  • Vandyke Chao Nu M/O/24
