A lobbyist at the center of a Columbus City Hall bribery probe is off two Franklin County agency boards.
Franklin County commissioners notified John Raphael he will not be reappointed to the county's convention and facilities board. Raphael is the lobbyist linked to donations made by red light camera company Redflex to Columbus Democrats.
In a letter to Raphael, the commission thanked him for his service on the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority where he served as treasurer and then wrote "the term of your appointment and service concluded on July 25th." Saturday was the end of Raphael's term.
Raphael responded to the e-mail by also resigning from the Franklin County Veterans Memorial Board.
In federal court documents unsealed last month, a former Redflex executive told investigators she funneled bribes to city officials through Raphael.
County commissioners Monday declined comment on their decision not to re-appoint Raphael.
