Marysville Guardsman Gets Life In Prison For Raping Adopted Daughters

Jean Paul Kruce
Union County Sheriff's Office
Kruse was convicted last month of 15 counts including rape and sexual battery. He was accused of abusing girls who were younger than 13.

An Ohio National Guardsman convicted of sexually abusing three adopted daughters has been sentenced to life without parole.

Judge David Faulkner announced the sentence Wednesday in Union County Court and said Jean Paul Kruse must also register as a sex offender.

Kruse was convicted last month of 15 counts including rape and sexual battery. He was accused of abusing girls who were younger than 13.

The charges were brought several years after he'd told a military publication that he wanted to adopt a girl from Africa to protect her from rape.

The 42-year-old Marysville man testified in his own defense. His wife testified she never saw signs of such abuse.
