A decision expected Thursday on what to include in the proposed constitutional amendment on marijuana.

Another effort to legalize marijuana in Ohio is proceeding toward the ballot.

The Ohio Ballot Board must decide Thursday how many issues are contained in the proposed constitutional amendment backed by Better for Ohio. That move allows supporters to proceed with collecting signatures. The amendment would legalize both medical and recreational marijuana and set guidelines for cultivation, sale and use.

Its language closely mirrors an amendment already being advanced by the group Responsible Ohio, but with quadruple the number of authorized growing locations, no registration required for home growers and other tweaks.

Responsible Ohio's campaign gained key backing this week from Republican Hamilton County prosecutor and former state treasurer Joe Deters.

A third pot legalization issue awaits a certification decision this month by Ohio's attorney general.
