The Columbus College of Art and Design will begin a new search to fill the president’s position. The school announced Tuesday that President Tom White was stepping down immediately.
White was appointed CCAD’s fourth president last June upon the retirement of Denny Griffith. But White’s tenure was short lived. A statement released Tuesday by the Board of Trustees said “The Columbus College of Art and Design and Thomas White have mutually agreed that Mr. White will be stepping down as president effective immediately.”
The board, the statement said, has appointed CCAD Provost Kevin Conlon as interim president.
The statement went on to say that a search for White’s replacement world occur over the next several months.
No reason for Mr. White’s departure was given.
