ACLU Urges School Officials to Avoid Criminal Charges Over "Sexting"

The American Civil Liberties Union is urging school officials to avoid punishing teens for poor decisions in the use of technology.

During a meeting Thursday in Columbus, ACLU director Christine Link expressed concern about actions taken by schools earlier this year against students for so-called "sexting" or sending nude pictures on their cell phones.

ACLU officials advise schools to counsel student on how to protect themselves and others but avoid criminal charges.
