June 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm
A crossover between traditional and contemporary, Columbus Cultural Orchestra (CCO) finishes its season with a collage of beauty and beat.
Stephen Spottswood, founder and classically trained violinist, noticed that the orchestras he played with weren’t attracting young musicians of color.
Established in 2020, the orchestra teaches developing musicians arrangements of jazz, hip-hop, and classical.
Bringing hip-hop classics to the orchestral world, you can expect to hear music from Bach, Biggie, Rachmaninoff, SZA, Destiny’s Child, and more! Look forward to creative instrumentation including strings, drums, and keyboard–to form a head-bopping, beat-dropping innovative.
The performance will take place at 6 p.m.
