WOSU Classroom offers classes for educators wishing to extend their knowledge and experience with technology integration. These classes are suitable for educators of all grade levels and subject areas. Contact hours are awarded for each class at no additional fee; graduate credit is offered, as well. Contact hours are equal to the run-time of the class, minus 30 minutes for lunch.

All face-to-face courses will be held at the Fawcett Event Center [map] unless otherwise specified. Class participants must pay for parking at the kiosk in the center of the parking lot. The fee is $2.25/hour.

Using Technology to Promote a Love for Reading

This course is all about using technology to cultivate a love for reading in your classroom. Research shows there are 4 things needed when promoting a love for reading: Choice, Availability, Safety/Support, and Creativity. We’ll explore those themes and ways to promote independent reading for enjoyment. You will also leave with basic knowledge of tools within G Suite and fun ideas.

Sponsored by the Fifth Third Foundation and in partnership with WOSU Public Media, the University of Cincinnati’s Economics Center is offering a FREE $martPath training session. $martPath is an engaging, interactive and easy-to-use way for teachers to embed relevant and fun economic and financial education in their classrooms. All units are aligned with Ohio’s Content Standards—particularly in Math, Social Studies, and English. Classroom Notebooks with OneNote

Save time. Organize. Collaborate. OneNote Class Notebooks have a personal workspace for every student, a content library for handouts, and a collaboration space for lessons and creative activities. This new free add-in for the OneNote desktop (2013 or 2016) is designed to help teachers save time and be even more efficient with their Class Notebooks. Implementing Authentic Tasks
