WOSU Classroom offers live virtual classes for educators wishing to extend their knowledge and experience with technology integration. These classes are suitable for educators of all grade levels and subject areas. Contact hours are awarded for each class at no additional fee. Please note that the registration window for each class closes 2 weeks prior to the start date.

We strive to host inclusive courses that enable all individuals to engage fully. When you register for any of our virtual courses, you will have the opportunity to make requests for accommodations or inquiries about accessibility. Distance Learning with Zoom

Zoom is an amazing resource that teachers can use for online learning. Video has expanded the walls of the classroom and provides a personal connection that is otherwise lost when teaching remotely.  This class will cover all of  Zoom’s features, give best practice and class management tips for teaching via video, and explore web tools that allow for interactive lessons through video conferencing.

WOSU Classroom and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum have organized short oral history videos of veterans into a StoryBooth Catalog. This session will share lesson plans and resources with teachers to guide student learning to author a BookCreator ebook using a veteran’s oral history to honor their service and sacrifice.

Reducing Stress and Building Resilience

This workshop will help early childhood educators and providers to identify personal stress triggers and develop strategies to cope with stress and practice mindfulness.
