WOSU Classroom offers classes for educators wishing to extend their knowledge and experience with technology integration. These classes are suitable for educators of all grade levels and subject areas. Contact hours are awarded for each class at no additional fee; graduate credit is offered, as well. Contact hours are equal to the run-time of the class, minus 30 minutes for lunch (if the class is from 10 am to 3:30 pm, with 30 minutes for lunch, then the class is worth 5 contact hours).

How to register: To pay via credit card, please click the blue course fee button that corresponds to your district’s membership level (find your level here). To register with a PO, please call 614-292-9678 or email classroom@wosu.org with your full name, district & building info, and the class details.

Please bring a laptop (preferred) or tablet to all classes.

Online registration closes two weeks prior to the start of class; please call to register after that time (614-292-9678).

Cancellations received two weeks prior to the class start date are eligible for a full refund less a $25 processing fee

All face-to-face courses will be held at the Fawcett Event Center [map] unless otherwise specified. Parking passes will be issued to all course attendees via email 1-week prior to the course date.

Every class sets an expectation for students to take notes, yet students often struggle to organize, clarify and actively connect the dots. Discover key factors in how to engage students as active meaning makers with research-based practices illustrating how note taking matters. Designs will include practices in visual note-taking strategies and guided notes to increase learning retention. Templates applying Google Apps, including Keep, Drawings and Slides, will be shared to guide students with words, diagrams and pictures to encode information to better absorb content knowledge.
