These classes are suitable for educators of all grade levels and subject areas. Contact hours are awarded for each class at no additional fee; graduate credit is offered, as well. Contact hours are equal to the run-time of the class, minus 30 minutes for lunch.

How to register:

Under each class title and description, there are 2 or more payment buttons. Click the button that corresponds with your payment method, and complete the associated form. Building reps. and those with free class vouchers will need to call 614-688-1109 in order to register for a class using the voucher. Please bring a laptop (preferred) or tablet to all classes.

Online registration closes two weeks prior to the start of class; please call to register after that time (614-688-1109).

Cancellations received two weeks prior to the class start date are eligible for a full refund, minus a $25 processing fee.

All face-to-face courses will be held at the Fawcett Event Center [map] unless otherwise specified. Class participants must pay for parking at the kiosk in the center of the parking lot. The fee is $2.25/hour.

Virtual Reality: Bring Learning to Life with the Oculus Quest*

Virtual Reality (VR) has reached a turning point with the release of the Oculus Quest.  VR learning generates new understandings based on experiences impossible to replicate in real life.  Learn how to integrate VR to engage learners, inspire creativity and cultivate curiosity. With this all in one VR system, students have six degrees of freedom (they can move around just like they would in real life) and can perform realistic and precise actions.  The Quest can also be mirrored to a larger screen, bringing in many more students to watch and participate—meaning it’s not such a solo experience. Project Runway*

Writing Fun, Right Now for Preschoolers

In this course, we will look at the benefits of podcasting and then we will help develop a plan for a podcast from scriptwriting to audio tools for recording. Google Sites

Google has created applications that help teachers and students organize information as well as communicate more efficiently and effectively. In this course, we will look at using Google Sites to create a classroom website as well as uses for Google Sites for students and classroom projects.
