WOSU Classroom offers classes for educators wishing to extend their knowledge and experience with technology integration. These classes are suitable for educators of all grade levels and subject areas. Contact hours are awarded for each class at no additional fee; graduate credit is offered, as well. Contact hours are equal to the run-time of the class, minus 30 minutes for lunch.

How to register:

Under each class title and description, there are 2 or more payment buttons. Click the button that corresponds with your payment method, and complete the associated form. Building reps. and those with free class vouchers will need to call 614-688-1109 in order to register for a class using the voucher. Please bring a laptop (preferred) or tablet to all classes.

Online registration closes two weeks prior to the start of class; please call to register after that time (614-688-1109).

Cancellations received two weeks prior to the class start date are eligible for a full refund, minus a $25 processing fee.

All face-to-face courses will be held at the Fawcett Event Center [map] unless otherwise specified. Class participants must pay for parking at the kiosk in the center of the parking lot. The fee is $2.25/hour.

Close Reading with Digital Annotation

Make reading an active, social and visible activity with the application of free and easy-to-use annotation tools. A wide variety of tools and applications will be explored in this course, including Google Keep, Docs, Insert Learning, Diigo, CommonLit, and Hypothesis. Google for Littles*

Google for Littles is a course designed around providing realistic tasks and learning objectives for students at the elementary level. Students in elementary school definitely still need manipulatives, but the goal is to simply integrate more digital aspects into the classroom. Together we will explore ways to incorporate digital literacy skills using Google Apps such as Google Classroom, Slides, Drawings, Docs, and more. You will learn the information needed to digitally prepare your students for the future and will leave motivated to embrace digital tasks throughout the school year. Expanding your Classroom with Google Arts & Culture

Virtual Reality: Bring Learning to Life with the Oculus Quest*
