The Resurrection of Religion in Cuba

After the Communist revolution of 1959, Fidel Castro declared Cuba an atheist state. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Cuba has seen a resurgence of religious activity, but the church is mistrusted by some who fear religious leaders have gotten too cozy with political operatives. In this hour, we examine what happens when oppressive regimes ease religious restrictions.
