Woody Guthrie, American Folk Icon, Celebrates a Centennial

Woody Guthrie was a man whose musical style had an indelible influence on American music and culture... We've reached his would-be 100th birthday this month. Today, we’ll celebrate this milestone by talking about the life and lingering importance of a man who inspired the works of others and whose work continues to move us today.

Event

The Columbus Folk Music Society and the Columbus Mennonite Church are co-sponsoring an event titled, "Woody Guthrie’s 100th Birthday Party." The event will take place on Sat., July 14 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mennonite Church social hall, 35 E. Oakland Park.
