WOSU TV and its sister station WPBO TV provide educational programming, professional development, and direct services to schools.

WOSU’s Ross mediaLab is used for technology training—an incubator for creative media in many forms for use across many platforms.  It is the WOSU hub for a collaborative, out-of-school program—Surge Columbus—giving teens  access to the latest in digital technology and mentors to help them develop ideas and tell their own stories with images and sound.

Ready To Learn® is the umbrella for WOSU services focused on early learning.  We offer workshops to show child care providers, teachers and parents how to use public media resources, on air and online, to help young children develop essential skills. Many times, we work and play with the kids ourselves by leading literacy and math camps in pre-school classrooms.  For workshop schedules and other information call 614.292.9678, extension 4-0775.

WOSU has a growing collection of learning objects—short video modules and lesson plans—that are developed for playback and use in the classroom.  These include Career Connections and rich social studies resources in video segments culled from the documentary series, Columbus Neighborhoods.
