COLUMBUS, OHIO, April 6, 2020 – In collaboration with United Way of Central Ohio and US Together, WOSU Public Media has begun providing a Spanish language livestream of Governor Mike DeWine’s daily briefing on the coronavirus outbreak to help ensure that accurate information is reaching Central Ohio’s Spanish-speaking communities in a timely manner.

View the livestream as well as archived versions of Gov. DeWine’s press conference with Spanish language translation at https://livestream.com/wosu/covid19actualizacion.

“Our team has pulled together all kinds of technology including videoconferencing services so the interpreters can do their work at home and then connect to our specialized livestream equipment at WOSU. Everyone has worked collaboratively to make this happen,” said Tom Rieland, WOSU Public Media general manager.

Working together, three community nonprofit organizations – US Together providing interpreters, United Way of Central Ohio supporting the language translation service and WOSU producing and originating the livestream – are proving that collaboration and the willingness to look after all members of our community is alive and well during this time of community crisis.
