An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday morning for a 5-year-old boy taken from a southside Columbus home.

Columbus Police are searching for the boy, who has been identified as Darnell Taylor.

Police say Taylor was taken around 3 a.m. Wednesday from his home on Reeb Avenue in the Edgewood neighborhood.

Police believe Taylor's legal guardian, 48-year-old Pammy Maye, took him and say he may have been injured. Maye is 4 feet, 9 inches and weighs 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing green floral nightgown with pink shoes.

Taylor may be wearing Spiderman pajamas and white boots.

Officials say the vehicle the pair were believed to be traveling in has been found in Brooklyn, Ohio, which is in the Cleveland area, but Taylor and Maye have not been located.

Anyone with information about Taylor or Maye's location is asked to call 1-877-AMBER-OH (1-877-262-3764), the Columbus Division of Police tip line (614-645-2228), Central Ohio Crime Stoppers (614-461-8477) or 911.
