American Experience, The Presidents Gallery

American Experience, The Presidents Gallery

One of the signature series from American Experience has been their in-depth profiles on The Presidents.  WOSU TV viewers have always provided positive feedback over the years on each one of these award winning programs. So it’s fitting that in this election year American Experience has launched “The Presidents Collection” in an all-new digital portal.

This new portal, found on the American Experience’s website, lets viewers screen full-length films on 10 American Presidents. Video galleries examine more than 200 primary source documents and explore how different presidents faced issues including the economy, war, dealing with a crisis, and abuses of power with experts and living witnesses.

“During this election year, The Presidents offers an in-depth view into the lives of the leaders who have shaped our country in profound ways,” said Mark Samels, American Experience executive producer. “As Americans once again go through the process of deciding who will get their vote, The Presidents offers insight into the issues previous leaders faced, explores how they rose to political power, and compares how they dealt with crises. This content provides a window into the complexity and challenges of the nation’s top office as we consider a new crop of potential presidents.”

With all the material available for folks to view on the web, here’s something that’s really worth the time.

At least you guys are treating him with respect. The rest of PBS is disgusting.

You are obviously not watching the same PBS as I am. Every series is fantastic and most well done!

Miss Fisher’s mysteries are the most well written and beautifully costumed show on television any country, any genre. I am from New Mexico, (not New and Not Mexico,). I watch this show with my grand daughters and we all love Miss Fisher. To end it at season 3 is totally unreasonable. Let’s get the gang back together and protest, write, blog, twitter or what ever to make them do more. I am a month from being 70, so I will write real letters. Jo White, USA.
