I’m hearing from viewers asking, what’s next on Masterpiece now that Downton Abbey has concluded?  The good news is not one but two Masterpiece favorites are returning with new seasons of Grantchester and Mr. Selfridge this Sunday, March 27.

First up, at 9pm, is Grantchester season 2.

Our favorite jazz-loving vicar Sidney Chambers asks, “As a priest, isn’t everything our business?” I’m not so sure his crime solving partner Inspector Geordie Keating would agree with that statement. Once again Sydney’s curiosity propels him into challenging cases even to the point of becoming a suspect himself.  And of course it wouldn’t be drama without his search for spiritual fulfillment and love.

Following Grantchester is the premiere of the final season of Mr. Selfridge.  Jeremy Piven bids a final farewell as London’s retail king, Harry Selfridge.  After 20 years Selfridge’s is still the king of London’s Oxford Street, but the store’s flamboyant owner is having a little difficulty keeping his vices under control.  Harry’s chickens are coming home to roost in this final season.

Tune in or set your DVR for great back-to-back drama Sunday nights on WOSU TV.

At least you guys are treating him with respect. The rest of PBS is disgusting.

You are obviously not watching the same PBS as I am. Every series is fantastic and most well done!

Miss Fisher’s mysteries are the most well written and beautifully costumed show on television any country, any genre. I am from New Mexico, (not New and Not Mexico,). I watch this show with my grand daughters and we all love Miss Fisher. To end it at season 3 is totally unreasonable. Let’s get the gang back together and protest, write, blog, twitter or what ever to make them do more. I am a month from being 70, so I will write real letters. Jo White, USA.
